The ZX restoration process
Preparation changes everything. Six stages, in the same order on every roof.

Inspect
We get up on the roof and tell you plainly what it needs. The inspection and the quote are free.
On site The roof as we found it. -
Pressure clean
The whole roof is pressure cleaned: dirt, moss, lichen and anything loose.
On site The same roof, pressure washed. -
Repair
Broken tiles are replaced, and valleys or flashings that have failed.
On site Another job: failed bedding under the ridge. -
Rebed and repoint
Ridge capping is rebedded where it is loose, then repointed.
On site The first roof again, ridge capping repointed. -
Prime
A coat of primer goes on the clean, sound roof.
On site Another job: the white primer going on. -
Two coats
Two coats of UV-resistant roof paint are sprayed on.

What does a roof restoration involve?
Six stages, in order. We inspect the roof, pressure clean it, repair what is broken, rebed and repoint the ridge capping, prime it, and spray on two coats of UV-resistant roof paint.
Is the roof inspection and quote free?
Yes. Roof quotes start with a free inspection, with no obligation. The quote sets out what the roof needs, stage by stage.
Will I see what was done up there?
Yes. We take photos of the roof before and after the work, so you can see the difference without climbing a ladder.
How long does a roof restoration take?
It depends on the size of the roof, the condition it is in and the weather. We give you a timeframe with your quote.
Which areas do you cover?
We’re based in Melbourne, VIC and work across Melbourne and surrounding suburbs. If you’re not sure whether we come out to you, put your address in the enquiry and we’ll let you know.
Do you only work on roofs?
Roof restoration is our main work. We also paint interiors: walls, ceilings, doors, trims and kitchen cabinets, with colour advice as part of the service.
